ADULT BASIC EDUCATION
The Adult Basic Education program provides individuals, 16 and older, who are not enrolled in school, an opportunity to receive one-on-one instruction to assist them with enhancing their educational skills, and GED preparation. Once enrolled in a GED program, we continue our support by providing tutoring, computer literacy, and financial literacy classes. The Keys to Canaan staff also helps community walk-ins with workforce development support by providing access to computers, fax machine, and copier, to assist with job searches, setting up email accounts, developing resumes and cover letter preparation. In support of job attainment, additional services include providing guidance through mock interviews, how to dress for interviews and proper follow up. This program takes place at the First Rock Baptist Church Resource Center, 834 Hilltop Terrace, SE, Washington, DC 20019, on Tuesdays and Thursdays, from 12:30 pm - 2:30.
